Pokemon World Championship 2025

The event opened with several updates regarding the Pokemon World Championship 2025, which will take place in California next month.
The championship is expected to include hundreds of Pokemon trainers competing across multiple Pokemon titles.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will serve as the main competitive games, alongside Pokemon GO, Pokemon Unite, and the official Pokemon Trading Card Game World Championship.

All participating trainers will receive a special collectible card marking their participation in the tournaments, and winners will earn a variety of unique and valuable prizes.
The event is expected to host over 20,000 spectators, who will also receive various rewards and bonuses, including special Pokemon for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
The competitions will be streamed live online, with additional rewards and special events available for viewers watching from home.

Pokemon Concierge

The second season of the series will premiere on Netflix on September 4.
Once again, the story follows Haru, who is expected to reunite with her former boyfriend Kent as they attempt to stop Sealeo, who is causing chaos throughout the Pokemon Resort.

The series continues with its stop motion animation style, and the newly released trailer offered a glimpse of additional Pokemon that will appear in the season, including Psyduck and Mudkip.

The Misadventures Of Sirfetch’d & Pichu

Moving from one animated series to another, The Misadventures Of Sirfetch’d & Pichu is scheduled to air in 2027.
The series is a special collaboration between The Pokemon Company and the legendary studio Aardman, best known for Wallace & Gromit.

In line with the studio’s signature style, the series will feature stop motion animation.
While details remain limited, anticipation for the project is already building.

Pokepark Kanto

Pokepark Kanto will be the brand’s first permanent theme park attraction.
It will be located inside the Yomiuriland amusement park in Tokyo and is expected to feature a wide variety of attractions and activities for fans of the franchise.

The grand opening of the park, which spans nearly 26,000 square meters, is planned for early 2026. Early ticket sales are expected to begin toward the end of the current year.

The Pokemon Card Game New Mega Evolutions

As part of the event, a new set of Mega Evolution cards was revealed for the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
The set will include special card forms for Mega Lucario, Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Venusaur.

These cards will be classified as Secret Rares, making them relatively difficult to obtain.

Pokemon Friends

Pokemon Friends is a new puzzle game in which players solve various challenges designed to test their thinking skills.
Completing each puzzle rewards players with a digital Pokemon plush that can be used to decorate a personal in game room.

The game is clearly designed with younger players in mind, but it appears charming enough to appeal to older audiences as well.
The game is expected to include more than 1,200 puzzles and over 150 different plush collectibles. Pokemon Friends is available now on smartphones and on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Pokemon Champions

Pokemon Champions offers a new way to experience the franchise’s battle system by allowing players to compete directly against others online using their personal Pokemon teams.

The game features full integration with Pokemon Home, enabling players to use Pokemon they trained in other titles during battles in Pokemon Champions.
Players will also be able to recruit and train Pokemon directly within the new game.

Pokemon Champions supports online matches against other players as well as battles against friends, with options for classic Pokemon battles and Double Battles.
The game introduces a point based training system designed to simplify Pokemon development, making it easier for players to reach their training goals compared to the more time consuming methods found in traditional Pokemon games.

The game is scheduled to launch in 2026 and will be available on Nintendo Switch and on smartphones.

Pokemon Legends Z A

The event concluded with another exciting look at Pokemon Legends Z A, which is set to release on October 16.
The new footage revealed additional details about the game world and introduced new Pokemon, including a Mega Evolution form for Dragonite.

It was also revealed that wild Pokemon will now be able to use Mega Evolutions.
These Pokemon will be known as Rogue Mega Evolutions and can be encountered and battled while exploring Lumiose City.

Additional story details were shared, including the confirmation that the main objective will be to win the prestigious Z A Royale tournament by advancing from Rank Z to Rank A through victories over skilled and powerful trainers.
The game will also offer optional missions provided by city residents.

Following the event, it was revealed that the game will be available as part of a special bundle that includes a download code for the game alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
The game will also be available on the original Nintendo Switch, as well as on Nintendo Switch 2 with a dedicated version offering improved visuals and performance.

Additional Updates

The event also included a variety of updates for several Pokemon titles, including Pokemon GO, Pokemon Masters EX, Pokemon Cafe ReMix, and Pokemon Sleep.

Pokemon Unite received an update introducing Latios and Latias, along with a new game mode called Electrode Volleyball.
Additional benefits for playing Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet on Nintendo Switch 2 were also detailed, alongside information about upcoming in game events scheduled for the near future.

That concludes everything revealed during the Pokemon Presents event for July 2025.
